Continuing Legal Education and Training Opportunities

Special Needs Integrity is committed to providing valuable training and education regarding Special Needs Trusts, in particular Pooled Special Needs Trusts. To best accommodate our clients, Special Needs Integrity would be glad to travel to your location to provide this free service over breakfast, lunch, dinner or at your convenience. All CLE and training sessions are conducted by Special Needs Integrity’s outside legal counsel and Professional Staff. Please review our two core programs below for further details.

I. CLE - Overview, Benefits, and Legalities of Special Needs Trusts

This is a custom program which we can provide in full, or focus on the areas of greatest interest to your firm. These CLEs are available in most states.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
We provide a detailed overview of Special Needs Trusts and their connection with means-tested government benefits. Case studies are used to detail real world examples of various situations that do or do not work in a Special Needs Trust. Also discussed are the fiduciary duties of trustees.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
This session has been developed for attorneys and paralegals, although anyone with an interest in keeping current with state and federal regulations will find value.

LENGTH OF THE SEMINAR:
Depending on quantity and depth of participants’ questions, as well as the customization of your CLE, the full session can take one to four hours.
*Some of our CLE sessions are approved for Ethics credit. Please ask for details.

II. Lunch and Learn

We have developed a one hour Lunch and Learn program for all professionals that would benefit from an increased knowledge of Special Needs Trusts. This training can be provided to your paralegals, administrative team, project managers, and support staff. Beginning with a Special Needs Trust overview, we will then discuss how to identify a potential client, items that can be purchased using a Special Needs Trust, and additional specific details pertaining to administration decisions of a Special Needs Trust. We will also discuss the types of calls your firm can expect from the claimants relating to public benefits and their payment decision as the settlement nears completion.
